Professional experience:
Albert Ferraloro has almost 20 years experience in the IP area, having worked both in-house and in private practice in a number of different roles.  He has a deep knowledge of IP assets and the effective management of such assets and is very active and well known in innovation, intellectual property, management and commercialisation circles.  Albert is also a registered Australian Patent and Trade Marks Attorney.

Albert was previously the Managing Director and primary consultant at Manta IP Management Services Pty Ltd prior to its merger with Wrays in 2009.  He was instrumental in establishing Manta in the local marketplace and developing its suite of services aimed at assisting organisations to realise competitive advantage through strategic and effective IP management.

Through his roles at Manta and within industry through his previous employment with the Orbital Engine Company (a well known Western Australian technology and IP developer), Albert has gained firsthand experience with IP strategy, commercialisation and licensing activities.  In his role as Patents Manager at Orbital, Albert had primary responsibility for the day-to-day running of Orbital’s in-house IP Department, including all aspects relating to the maintenance, expansion and enforcement of Orbital’s extensive IP portfolio (which at times included in excess of 1200 patents, patent applications and trade mark cases). His engagements with a variety of high profile commercial and technical companies and exposure to different leading edge technological developments has enabled Albert to acquire significant skills and expertise in a range of areas including the identification, evaluation, protection, management and commercialisation of IP assets.

Albert works closely with organisations to deliver tailored IP management solutions and services. He is an accredited Trainer with the LESANZ internationally recognised Intellectual Asset Management course and has also been a Judge for the WA Inventor of the Year Competition in previous years.
