Wrays’ Principals appointed to IPTA Council

We are proud to announce the appointment of two of Wrays’ Principals to The Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorney’s of Australia (IPTA) Council.

Jennifer McEwan, who heads up Wrays’ Trade Mark and Brand Protection Group, has been elected as a Vice President of the institute. She has been an active member of IPTA’s Council since 2012, notably contributing to the success of IPTA’s annual conferences by providing members with a memorable and relevant experience.

Along with Jennifer, Wrays’ Sydney-based Principal, Philip Gehrig was appointed as a council member during this year’s annual conference. Philip has been involved with the institute since 2018, shortly after his return to Australia from working as a Patent Attorney in Europe.

IPTA is the peak professional body representing Australian patent and trade mark attorneys. The work of the organisation provides important support to the intellectual property industry in Australia, from promoting improvements in IP law to strengthening links between members within the IP community.

Congratulations Jennifer and Philip!
