Trade Marks
Branding, Consumer Goods, Food and Beverage, Information Technology

I am a lawyer working in both our commercial and brand protections teams.

On the commercial side, I provide advice to clients across a range of intellectual property matters, including trade marks, copyright, designs, the Australian Consumer Law, passing off, and confidential information. I also prepare and review various commercial agreements, including intellectual property assignment deeds, licence agreements, and consulting agreements. On the brand protection side, I principally assist clients to obtain registration of their trade marks in Australia and overseas. This includes the preparation of, and review and advice on, trade mark applications, intellectual property due diligence, filing strategies, and the preparation and filing of responses to examination reports issued by the Australian and New Zealand registries. I also provide advice to clients on portfolio planning and management and legal risk management.

I work with a range of clients – from local designers and small businesses, who are establishing their brands, to large Western Australian and Australian companies, who require management of their global trade mark portfolios.  I work with clients across a range of industries, including the food and beverage, fashion, cosmetic, education and construction industries.

I am currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Trade Mark Law and Practice at the University of Technology Sydney, with a view to registering as a trade mark attorney in the near future.
