Previously working at a well-known Queensland-based patent attorney firm, David Morgan joined the Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) at Wrays in 2009 to assist with our expanding patent practice in Perth. His expertise in electrical and computer technology inventions as well as other areas of technology including information technology (IT), mechanical, mining, oil and gas, medical, and aerospace technologies, aligned with and complemented the existing skill set of our Perth team.
While in Perth, David supported Wray’s intention to develop a national footprint, leveraging off the strong foundation of the Western Australian practice. Seeing an opportunity to establish and grow a patent practice in his home state of Queensland, David has assisted Wrays to further increase our national footprint by opening a Brisbane office. As the “Smart State” continues to expand into many existing and new key industries, including information and communication technologies (ICT), computer engineering, natural gas, environmental and mining technologies, aviation, transport and logistics, advanced manufacturing, and therapeutic devices, to name a few, there are many opportunities for growth.
