Wrays bolsters teams across Australia

As the legal profession continues to experience turmoil amongst COVID lockdowns, the team at Wrays is celebrating the appointment of three new senior hires in the Melbourne, Sydney and Perth offices.

Andrew Goatcher joins the Melbourne dispute resolution team as a Principal bringing with him over 30 years’ experience advising and acting in complex IP and commercial litigation matters. Having worked in Melbourne for most of his career, Andrew has a solid footing in the IP market and is highly respected in the local litigation and resource space. Andrew joins the firm from competitor Griffith Hack.

Nadia Pece-Barbara boosts the Sydney team as a Senior Patent and Trade Marks attorney. The appointment is a coup for Wrays as Nadia brings significant life science experience with her qualifications in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biochemistry. Nadia has held several commercialisation roles providing a unique perspective to her clients and valuable connections to industry.

Michael Pasquale joins the IP Strategy team located in Perth to assist clients with the management of, and strategic considerations around, commercialising and extracting value from their valuable IP assets. Michael has held roles as a Senior Policy Officer with the WA Department of Health and as an Economic Development Officer with the City of Perth. Michael is already well known to the Wrays’ team and their clients through his committee role with Life Sciences WA.

Chairman Gary Cox announced the appointments saying:

“The diversity of skills and experience brought by these newest team members enhances our already thriving team in its delivery of full-spectrum IP Services across Australia. Andrew has a wealth of experience in dispute resolution and has well and truly hit the ground running in Melbourne. Nadia is an incredible addition to our Sydney team, with a formidable reputation in the area of life sciences IP. Michael is highly respected and passionate about helping others succeed in their commercialisation endeavours. I know our clients will benefit enormously from the commercially oriented solutions each of these new team members bring.  It is an exciting time for both our clients and for the firm.”
